An example of anabolism is the synthesis of proteins from amino acids, which is essential for growth and repair of tissues.


Metabolism is regulated by hormones and enzymes, which control the rate at which chemical reactions occur. Factors such as age, gender, genetics, body composition, and physical activity level can influence an individual's metabolic rate. It is important to note that metabolism varies from person to person, and factors like diet and exercise can also impact it.
