Chiropractor explains how our nerves, cardiovascular and lymphatic systems work together

The cardiovascular, lymphatic and nervous system work together.

How do these systems help each other?

Our bodies are like a machine.  Just like an engine, all the parts need to be working in order for it to function properly.  The brain and the rest of the body (including the cells) all communicate and understand what the other is doing.

Here are what the 3 systems do:

1. The Nervous System:

It is responsible for sending electrical impulses and signals to other areas of the body.  It will tell the heart how and when to beat, regulate our breathing and digestion, regulate our hormones.  It is the main part of our body and basically the transmission in a car.

2. The Cardiovascular System:

Pumps and carries blood through the body.  This blood will flow though the body providing nutrition (oxygen, carbon dioxide, hormones and blood cells to organs, glands, muscles and all systems.  At the same time the blood removes waste materials from tissues to keep them healthy.  It also helps maintain homeostasis by keeping our temperature at normal levels and controls our PH levels and helps fight against diseases.

3. The Lymphatic System:

Your lymph nodes will produce clear fluids called lymph throughout the body trying to flush out toxins and unwanted materials.  This liquid is basically recycled blood plasma (see how they are related already?).  Lymph material is normally produced after blood has been filtered from the tissues and waste is then sent to the lymphatic system to release from the body or recycled back into the blood stream.

Both the Lymphatic and Cardiovascular systems contain white blood cells that help fight infection. The nervous system is the controller of these systems.  What is key is that next to every nerve there are vessels and lymph nodes.  Pretty cool huh?

Every enzyme, cell and system communicate inside our body.  When there is something injured or failing to work properly, our body compensates by putting other systems into overdrive.  This is why getting body care is so important.  Chiropractic works on the nervous system which is responsible for telling the rest of the body what to do.  Your muscles, spine, organs and everything else depends on healthy nerves to let them know what to do.  The brain and nerves send the signals and then the body responds.

Are you doing what your body needs to work as a well oiled machine?  A good start to staying healthy is coming in to see what your body needs and what it can do.
