Phase 2: Stabilization Care

Phase 2: Stabilization Care

Shoulder Motion

Most chiropractors regard the elimination of symptoms as the easiest part of a persons care.  If all that the chiropractor does is to reduce the pain and stop there, the chances of the condition recurring are much greater.  In order to prevent a rapid recurrence of symptoms, it is necessary to continue receiving care even though your symptoms are gone.

Our main objective during the stabilization phase is to bring your spinal motion and structure as close to "normal" as possible.  Dr. Amanda will walk through the specific goals of this phase of care with you throughout the process.  During this stabilization phase, you will not receive adjustments as often as you did during the first phase of care.  Typically, Cadence Chiropractic patients move from visits once every other week into once every three weeks during this phase of care as your body continues healing and learns to maintain proper motion and structure.

Do not be discouraged if you have mild flare-ups in your symptoms on occasion during the stabilization phase.  This is normal.  Flare-ups are bound to occur during this phase because your body has not fully healed and there are still various stressors throughout regular everyday life. Depending on the severity of your initial injury or condition and how long you have been suffering from it, this phase of your care may last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years.

Once stabilization has been achieved, Wellness Care allows us to maintain the incredible healing changes your body has made while preventing new injuries or flare-ups.
