ACA Calls for Nominations

A MESSAGE FROM ACA PRESIDENT DR. RAY TUCK

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) is now accepting nominations for two open seats on its Board of Governors. Since implementing historic changes last year that modernized our governance structure, ACA is better equipped to leverage the knowledge and talents of our members to help chart the course for the association’s future. It is also our goal to add greater transparency to our governance process by informing you and other organizations and individuals in the profession of opportunities to lead with ACA.

To be considered for one of these two available board seats, a candidate is required to be an ACA member in continuous good standing with the association for at least two years immediately preceding the election, hold an active chiropractic license in the chiropractic profession, and be current in all financial obligations to ACA.

The ACA Nominating Committee has identified five leadership criteria for board service: communications, business acumen, leadership, chiropractic expertise and relationship management. Members with skills and experience in these areas are encouraged to apply as well as members with communication expertise and early career practitioners.

Applications to the ACA Board of Governors should be submitted via ACA’s online volunteer clearinghouse by Wednesday, Oct. 3. ACA’s Nominating Committee will review and vet all nominees and a slate will be presented to the House of Delegates at the January 2019 meeting, where elections will take place.
