TCA is the ONLY association advocating for your right to practice in Texas!

Advocacy is TCA's No. 1 priority and we do it two different ways:

1. Legislative - TCA represents the entire chiropractic profession to the Texas Legislature. While legislative sessions take place in odd-numbered years, TCA is working year-round for you and your patients. In addition to drafting pro-chiropractic legislation, TCA is YOUR voice at the Capitol, meeting with legislative offices, ensuring you are well-represented at hearings and galvanizing the entire profession to advance chiropractic in the Lone Star State.  In addition, TCA represents the interests of chiropractors with the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE), Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and other state government agencies.
2. Legal defense - When the chiropractic profession is threatened, TCA is your first line of defense. In recent years, TCA has been involved in litigation in which the Texas Medical Association (TMA) sued the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE) challenging the Board's rules regarding chiropractic scope. Your membership dues and money raised through the Chiropractic Development Initiative (CDI) has allowed TCA to secure legal representation in the Travis Country District Court, Third Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Texas.
