Workers’ Comp Oct. 24th Seminar: Midland-Odessa, for Health Care Providers and Staff

The Division of Workers’ Compensation and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Small Business Development Center (UTPB-SBDC) will offer a seminar on October 24, 2018 for health care providers and staff who provide care to injured employees in the Texas workers’ compensation system. The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, 4901 East University Boulevard, Mesa Building 2nd Floor - Multipurpose Room in Odessa. Registration is $50 per person and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
The seminar covers:
- Identifying a workers’ compensation patient and verifying coverage;
- Utilization review - prospective, concurrent, and retrospective review of medical necessity;
- Return-to-work and the DWC Form-073, Work Status Report;
- Medical bill processing and fee guidelines; and
- Processes for resolving disputes.
