We’re On The Clock – Contribute to the TCA PAC Today!

It’s hard to believe, but Election Day is right around the corner – Tuesday, November 6. Obviously, the race that everyone is focusing on is the one between Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Beto O’Rourke, but there are state contests that are even more important to Texans and, in particular, Texas chiropractors.

The candidates who are elected to the Texas Senate and House will make decisions at the Capitol that could impact the future of our profession, including how you can practice and your ability to run a successful business.

So, who should you vote for next month? The Texas Chiropractic Association has identified candidates in key races who were pro-chiropractic during the 2017 Texas Legislative Session. Read your emails from TCA and check the Texas Chiropractic Association Facebook  page often for updates!

In addition, TCA and its 12 districts are hosting political fundraisers across the state in the coming weeks. We’ve included them in this issue of Texas Chiropractic eSource. These meet-and-greets allow you to get to know the candidates and their positions on chiropractic. If there’s a TCA reception or luncheon in your area, please show up, bring a check written out to the candidate’s campaign and let the candidate know they can count on your vote. Either myself or one of our TCA Legislative Board Members will be at all of these events, so please come by and say "Hi!"

Aside from showing up to cast your ballot, TCA is counting on our members – especially those who have contributed in the past – to contribute to the TCA Political Action Committee (TCA PAC). Your PAC donation gives TCA the funds it needs to support candidates who will advance our agenda in Austin.  

We’re on the clock! With elections and the deadline to make political contributions coming up, we must act fast and we need your help.

The goal is simple: Raise $20,000 for the TCA PAC by October 19. That will give TCA the funds it needs for the current election cycle.

1. Make your donation online to the TCA PAC.

Your donation the TCA PAC isn’t tax-deductible, but it’s necessary to help TCA continue our momentum in 2019. Your past generosity made it possible for four pro-chiropractic bills to be signed into law in 2017.

I have one additional request. Please put Valentine’s Day – Thursday, February 14, 2019 – on your calendar and come and show your love for chiropractic. Join us in Austin TCA Legislative Day as we “Storm the Capitol for Chiropractic!”
