Chiropractors are doctors specializing in neuromusculoskeletal conditions, that is we concern ourselves with nerves, muscles, bones, joints, and other soft tissue structures. We treat and provide support care for sprains, strains, joint dysfunction, nerve impingement, fractures, and even things like ear infections, sinusitis, and seasonal allergies.
It is important to look at how your body interacts with the environment, how nurture and nature have come together to develop your current condition – the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. This allows you to actually deal with that underlying cause of your problem, rather than just masking the pain.
At The Wellness Center PDX we have a lot of tools at hand to help uncover the underlying cause of pain. Then we put together an integrative treatment plan that often includes chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, and naturopathy. In the chiropractic department, we use adjustments, therapeutic kinesio -taping, therapeutic exercise, laser therapy, bracing,
soft tissue manipulation, and more.
