Kingwood Chiropractor Offers Natural Pain Management

Our Kingwood chiropractor follows a "whole body" approach to wellness. This means we don't just "cover up" neck or back pain, but treat the underlying cause responsible for your pain. A traumatic injury to the musculoskeletal system, such as whiplash from a Kingwood car accident or even a slip and fall, can cause the body to become misaligned. When the spine is out of alignment, the nervous system cannot properly send and receive messages. This puts your body at risk for injury, illness, fatigue, and pain.

Kingwood chiropractor provides natural pain relief and wellness care

Many of our patients don't realize that a personal injury can lead to more than just pain. For instance, a single herniated disc can be the underlying cause of various symptoms including numbness, weakness, fatigue, organ dysfunction, and low-grade illnesses. This is why it is so important to identify and correct the underlying cause for misalignment. Simply "covering up" pain with prescription medication only leads to future problems.

Dr. Coy begins by identifying the cause for a spinal subluxation, the technical term for a misalignment in the spine. Once a subluxation is identified, Dr. Coy works closely with each patient to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. We recognize that every patient is different, and we are committed to help each patient achieve his or her individual health and wellness goals. Our chiropractor uses chiropractic adjustments to safely restore alignment to the spine. For example, when a spinal vertebra is out of alignment, the pressure may increase on the spinal disc resulting in a disc herniation. If the sciatic nerve is compressed, patients may experience a radiating pain sensation through the legs, back and buttocks, a condition known as sciatica. Restoring alignment to the spine begins by correcting the herniated disc with adjustments.

In addition to adjustments, we also offer complementary therapies, including physical therapy and corrective care exercises. Our physiological therapeutic treatments include Thumper Percussive Massage, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, mechanical traction, muscle stretching, trigger point therapy, and Nimmo with Active Muscle Release. Each of these treatments is designed to promote internal healing while releasing tension from the muscle fibers. Nimmo with Active Muscle Release, for example, uses the Nimmo technique to trace the fibers of specific muscles and apply ischemic pressure to release tension. This is especially helpful for patients who struggle with headaches and chronic back pain.

Located in the heart of Kingwood, our Kingwood chiropractic care center is conveniently located to treat patients in Humble, Atascocita, Porter, New Caney, and Splendora. We invite you to visit and experience the difference that our wellness care can make for your body!
