Kingwood Chiropractic Care for Lasting Pain Relief and Total Wellness

Our Kingwood chiropractic clinic is a place where patients come to feel better and start their individual journeys to total wellness through proper spinal care. Because the spine houses the nervous system, which controls all of the body's systems and processes, its proper alignment is critical to good health. The brain sends messages to and from all parts of the body through the spinal cord. As long as these messages travel unencumbered, the body's systems can work together the way they should.

However, things happen in life that inevitably pull the spine out of its proper alignment, either suddenly, or gradually. We all fall down, sleep in awkward positions on sagging mattresses, slouch at our desks, etc. Sometimes we get into car accidents. All of these things can Kingwood chiropractor alleviates neck pain and headachescause the individual vertebrae to go out of alignment, and even small misalignments (what chiropractors call "subluxations") can cause problems. When a subluxation occurs, nerves are pinched and they cannot send messages as they should. There may be no pain initially, but if these subluxations go unchecked, they will eventually cause low back pain, shoulder pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, knee pain, neck pain, and a whole host of other problems.

Fortunately, Kingwood chiropractor Dr. Coy can help. He first examines each patient thoroughly so he can pinpoint the exact locations of the misalignments. With this information, he can then, based on the patient's condition and needs, recommend a course of gentle and effective chiropractic spinal adjustments.

Dr. Coy will first address the tightness and knots within the muscles, via very relaxing percussive massage or if needed a more in depth trigger point/muscle knot release.  Dr. Coy feels it is very important to get the soft tissue to relax (your muscles) prior to the spinal manipulation, for a quicker and much more effective treatment. Especially, when compared to receiving the spinal adjustment prior to or not receiving any muscle relaxation at all.   These adjustments help bring the spine back into its natural, healthy alignment. Highly-skilled spinal adjustments, in conjunction with other therapies such as massage, nutritional counseling, and corrective exercise programs and several physical therapy modalities, can lead to dramatic, long-term relief from back pain, headaches, and other painful conditions.

The story continues even after the pain is gone, however. We provide our patients with continuing support and preventative care spinal adjustments so that their pain does not return. Preventing pain is just as important as alleviating it in the first place. We also encourage our patients to adopt healthy lifestyle habits that will help them feel better all the time and be able to reach their optimum health!
