Regenerative Medicine

Stem cells are great... but our Regenerative Medicine Protocols are better!
So, what is Regenerative Medicine?

Sounds.... impressive but confusing, right? To go in depth, Regenerative Medicine is a form a tissue engineering and molecular biology which deals in the "process of replacing, engineering, or regenerating human cells, tissues, or organs to restore or (re)establish normal function." In the simplest terms, this means is that we take our body's natural ability to heal itself, and re-introduce that concept to the areas of the body that have aged out of their natural repair, grow and heal phases with the goal of making the body work like new again.

When we get injured or infected by a disease, our bodies have innate systems in place to heal and defend us from these "insults." Regenerative Medicine allows practitioners like Dr. Evans to harness and enhance the bodies This new field of medicine has a tremendous amount of potential, potential we fully aim to utilize here at Evans Chiropractic.

So lets get down to it, many people have heard about stem cell therapy, and while yes it is the current star of the field, it is not the only player on the field. Regenerative medicine takes into account the age of stem cells harvested, proteins such as collagen; a structural protein that is present is all tissue types in various forms and is essential for new tissue growth, cytokines; a pro-inflammatory protein that is used to recruit nutrients, repair cells, and growth factors; proteins that bind to receptors on the surface of the cells in the target area to motivate said cells to differentiate and multiply in a controlled manner.
