Dr. Kelsey Pierce (she/her) is a Rochester native, growing up in West Irondequoit. At an early age she took interest in dance and studied ballet, jazz and modern dance through high school. She went on to study at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music on scholarship and holds a Bachelors of Science in Ballet as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics. After graduating, Dr. Pierce returned to Rochester, NY to dance professionally with Rochester City Ballet. While dancing professionally she transitioned into dance education and completed her certification for Pilates Instruction in 2016. Teaching movement sparked a greater interest in Dr. Pierce to better understand the anatomy and physiology of the human body and ultimately led her to further her education at Northeast College of Health Sciences where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic with honors.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Pierce is a neuromusculoskeletal specialist who believes in evidence-based care focused around unique goals. She sees chiropractic care as a tool to help support individuals return to the activities they enjoy. Dr. Pierce spent the last 9 months of her clinical rotations working in the interdisciplinary setting of the Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic. She also has experience working with dancers, is certified in Webster technique, and has completed additional training and coursework in pediatric and perinatal care.
Dr. Pierce continues to teach movement and Pilates in Pittsford, NY as well as to many young dancers in the Greater Rochester area. She lives in the city with her family and finds joy in many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, resting, and spending time in the Finger Lakes area! She is looking forward to being a part of Goshorn Wellness, a place she has always felt welcome and taken care of, and hoping to provide the same experience for her patients.
