Associate Medical Director / Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine
Dr. Michael Florek is a Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) specialist. He completed residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. There, he excelled as Chief Resident, developing interest in areas like Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Sonography (MSKUS), Functional Medicine, Interventional Injection techniques as well as Regenerative and Orthobiologic Medicine.
He is a graduate of Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received the Certificate of Honor for Outstanding Achievement in what is now his specialty. He is the recipient the A. Hollis Wolf national competition. He participated in numerous philanthropic activities, coordinating fundraising events for victims of pediatric cancer.
Dr. Florek is passionate about using all the skills at his disposal to collaborate to the broader landscape of Pain Medicine, promoting the study and awareness of non-surgical orthopedic intervention and non-pharmaceutical pain management. The philosophy of his practice is that the body’s natural healing properties can and should be explored when crafting patient’s treatment plans.
Note: Dr. Florek accepts some commercial insurance plans out of network as a NON-PARTICIPATING provider so you may be subject to a deductible. He does accept Medicare. Because there are so many insurance plans out there, and because coverage for care varies widely for the types of services that we offer, please call us to find out if your plan covers care in our office. Before you start a care plan, our staff would be happy to verify your benefits and explain them to you at no charge. Patients are entitled to a statement of fees which will be provided to you by our office upon request. If Dr. Florek does not participate with your specific insurance plan and you are responsible for payment, our office will include a courtesy claim form for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement as per their payment guidelines.
