Benefits of K-Laser Therapy

What Are the Benefits of K-Laser Therapy?

At Summit Medical Care Center of Broomfield, we work tirelessly to ensure our patients have access to the latest in medical innovations. K-Laser Therapy, known by some as High Power Laser Therapy, is a pain-free, non-invasive alternative to surgery. Often used in conjunction with other forms of treatment, many patients have felt significant improvement after just one session.

What Is K-Laser Therapy?

K-Laser Therapy is laser energy that is transmitted through the skin and into cells. These red and near-infrared lights trigger a process called photobiostimulation, which leads to stimulation of the body’s natural regenerative functions and the release of endorphins and collagen. The result is increased circulation, decreased pain and swelling, and faster healing time.

What Conditions Are Treated by Laser Therapy?

K-Laser Therapy has successfully stimulated all the body’s cell types, including nerves, soft tissue, cartilage, and ligaments. Your chiropractor may decide to include it as part of your treatment plan if you have:

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Acute and/or athletic injuries, including sprains and strains
  • Chronic pain, including back and/or neck pain, frozen shoulder, and arthritis
  • Headaches and TMJ
  • Carpal tunnel, trigger fingers, and other repetitive-use injuries
  • Sciatica
  • Degenerative Discs/Joints

How Long Will My Treatment Take?

The length of treatment will be determined by your chiropractor based on a number of factors, including the size of the treatment area and the severity of your condition. Most injuries require three to nine minutes per visit. Acute conditions typically respond after one to six treatments, while chronic pain can require ten or more visits. Your chiropractor will utilize data collected both before and after the first treatment to formulate a laser treatment schedule.
