Becoming a New Patient / Gluten Testing
Initial Visit and Consultation
Dr Beck will spend about 1 ½ hours with you on your initial visit. She will review your health history, current problems, symptoms all health questionnaires, prior laboratory tests etc to
start to uncover all the possible triggers for your symptoms. Dr Beck will then determine if any specific laboratory tests will be necessary to help assess your health concerns.
Second Visit / Report of Findings
At the report of Findings visit, Dr. Beck will review any test results ordered on your first visit and correlate them with your history and any prior lab testing from your first visit. At
this time, Dr. Beck will recommend an individualized program and protocol specific for your case. She will also discuss any additional testing that may need to be performed, as well as the
estimated cost of your program protocol, along with specific “action steps” in order to get you started. This may include specific lifestyle and diet changes.
Future Follow-Up Visits
Typically we see that a patient needs to work with Dr Beck anywhere from 4-6 months. More difficult cases can take much longer. Metabolic lab testing can determine how long your personalized
plan may be.
Gluten, Cross Reactive Food and Leaky Gut Testing: Cyrex Labs
Patients who request only to be tested for gluten sensitivity, leaky gut syndrome and cross reactive foods, Dr. Beck, on your initial visit, will discuss what tests will benefit you the most
depending on your specific needs. After all test results are received and reviewed, Dr. Beck will make the appropriate dietary and nutritional recommendations to start you on the path to
optimal health.
Distance Programs
Dr. Beck offers Functional Medicine distance care programs that allow patients to minimize travel frequency to the office. We are well aware that many patients travel several hours to consult
with Dr. Beck and we want to make our programs easier and more convenient. Many visits can be done over the internet through Skype in conjunction with email and fax. Call the office for
