Teachers, Veterans, and Active Military

We appreciate all you do for our community and would like to thank you by offering three months of complimentary chiropractic care at Aligned Chiropractic.

What is the catch??? NOTHING-except you must be under 65.

These are not really catches, but rules.

CURRENT PATIENTS:

Current patients and new patients may apply to be accepted. If you are a current patient, simply send us an email indicating you would like to be considered. We already know if you are a Teacher, Veteran or Active Military, but please indicate the appropriate category in the email subject line for our organization purposes.

If you are a new patient to Aligned Chiropractic, please continue reading for instructions.

TEACHERS:

We will accept one teacher to receive care during the months of June, July and August. Your New Patient Form and appointment request email would need to be received by May 24, 2020, although we may make our selection prior to that date.

We define teacher as a full time position at any of area public or private schools where your job is to teach the students. This is extended to daycare and preschool teachers. Sorry, yoga and fitness teachers - we love you, but this offer is not for you.

VETERANS OR ACTIVE MILITARY:

We will accept one Veteran or Active Military member to receive care during the months of November, December and January. Your New Patient Form and appointment request email would need to be received by November 7, 2019, although we may make our selection prior to that date.

Your privacy will be respected. We will not request to use your name or face to announce our selection. You will be treated as any other patient at Aligned Chiropractic, unless you choose to reveal that you have been the selected person.

OVER 65 YEARS OLD?

We are not able to extend this offer to anyone over the age of 65, as we do not file with Medicare, and are not able to provide care to anyone who is medically necessary and age 65 or older. We are very sorry and we still greatly appreciate all you have done to give back to our communities. We have to follow the rules of Medicare, though.

OUT OF POCKET COSTS

The only cost to you is for x-rays, if deemed necessary. We do not perform x-ray in our office. We can refer you to an in-network facility, if you have insurance, OR we can send you to a reasonably priced self pay facility for x-rays. If you have questions, please call or email our office with your insurance or self pay details so we can answer your questions regarding cost for x-rays.

Please consider our location and office hours before you apply to be considered for our three months of complimentary chiropractic care. If you can't make it to our office during our hours, please allow another person in need to take advantage of this offer.

HOW TO APPLY:

To apply, please complete our New Patient Forms (step 1) and send an email request (step 2). In the email request subject line, please enter if you are a "Teacher" or "Veteran" or "Active Military" by typing this in the subject line.

WHY ARE WE SO NICE?

Teachers give so much of their time and energy to teaching our next generation, and Dr. Teresa Green would like to give back to the teachers. Her sister is a teacher in Northern Virginia, so she has a soft spot in her heart for the teachers and all they do to help our children.

Chiropractic Care is available to a limited population of Active Military and Veterans. Here is a list of military and Veterans facilities that offer chiropractic care.

This should be changing for the better very soon! The latest announcement in March 2018 reveals approved funding for Veterans access to chiropractic care.

"The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018, has approved a plan to expand access to chiropractic's nondrug approach to pain relief to veterans, many of whom suffer from back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions resulting from their service.

The Senate voted 65-32 to approve the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending package early Friday, less than 24 hours ahead of what would have been a government shutdown. The vote follows House passage, and the bill now heads to the president's desk for his signature.

Supported by several veterans groups and championed in Congress by Sens. Jerry Moran (R-Kansas), Jon Tester (D-Mont.), Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), t
he approved language calls for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to expand the availability of chiropractic services at no fewer than two medical centers or clinics in each Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) by no later than Dec. 31, 2019, and at no fewer than 50 percent of all medical centers in each VISN by no later than Dec. 31, 2021." -American Chiropractic Association member update

In the mean time, Dr. Teresa Green would like to do what she can to help our our Active Military and Veterans who do not have much access to chiropractic care in Richmond, VA .
