How Does Acupuncture Work?

Acupuncture is based on the principle that healthy tissues and organs need proper blood flow to facilitate the exchange of oxygen and nutrients that is required by the cells in the body. This energy exchange is also known as Qi in traditional Chinese medicine. There are over 2,000 acupuncture points that correlate to where blood vessels and nerves meet. If there is a blockage at any one of these acupuncture points the Qi is disrupted causing dysfunction. Jeffrey Blustein is trained to find these disruptions and remove the blockage, which then allows your tissues and organs to heal.
