Part of this, we believe, is removing your worries about your upcoming appointment with our Joplin chiropractor. Seeing any new care provider can bring up feelings of nervousness, so allow us to share all the information you will need to prepare for your first appointment with us. 

What to Expect on Your First Visit 

We do not have a waiting room at Skaggs Chiropractic, LLC. We have a reception area, staffed with friendly and caring individuals who will treat you like part of the family. If you would like to see what our clinic looks like, please check out the virtual tour on our website. 

We are popular among athletes who want natural care that helps them be at the top of their game. Our clients include Kansas City Chiefs players and cheerleaders, country musicians, a Rocker or two, business people, and everyday folks like yourself who care about maintaining their health and wellness through our natural services. 

On your first visit, our chiropractor will take a health history and conduct tests. This allows us to make a diagnosis and draw up an appropriate treatment plan for you. To streamline your first appointment with us, we will email you your paperwork, please complete this paperwork prior to arriving at our clinic. This will reduce your time in our office.

After our chiropractor examines you, we will discuss your condition and care plan. We strive to keep you informed at all times. If you have questions about your condition, back pain, good posture, injury recovery, or anything else, we will answer these questions fully. 

Our Services

We provide chiropractic adjustments both manual and instrument-aided. Therapies, exercises and home care may be recommended after your treatment. Therapies are utilized to complement your treatments and decrease inflammation and pain levels even further. They are an important adjunct and can help reduce your number of treatments you require and help the healing process. Just a word of precaution, it is our general observation that the application of heat can intensify your pain levels, so unless our chiropractor tells you to, let's don't!

We will adjust our frequency of care as you heal, naturally shifting from pain management to education and wellness care. After we minimize your health complaints, we recommend periodic tune-ups so you stay in optimal wellness. 

Paying For Your Care

We will bill your insurance company accordingly for all your care. Please note only on rare occasions will your insurance cover your entire bill. Your insurance company requires us to collect all co-pays up front at the time of service. If you have not met your deductible for the year, you will need to cover the cost of your visit on each visit until met. We are able to accept payment via credit card, cash, or Care Credit accounts.
