Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel is a frequent injury occurring in many office workers and is commonly called a repetitive motion injury. The major nerve controlling the hand is called the median nerve. Bones in the wrist form the carpal "tunnel". The median nerve, tendons and blood vessels pass through this opening. If one of the bones forming this tunnel should collapse, inflammation, nerve pressure and painful symptoms can result from pressure on the median nerve.

After a thorough examination, the doctors at Back In Line Chiropractic Center will perform specific adjustments, where needed, to help normalize structure and reduce nerve irritation. In essence, we are reforming the carpal tunnel to take the pressure off of the median nerve, thereby taking care of the carpal tunnel syndrome. Conservative chiropractic care has produced excellent results with carpal tunnel problems without drugs or surgery.

As an adjunct to adjusting the wrist, we also use the Erchonia Cold Laser. Studies have shown very positive results with carpal tunnel syndrome.
