Getting San Diego Healthy with New Year’s Resolutions

Getting San Diego Healthy with New Year’s Resolutions

Make new year’s resolutions work for you!

As we enter our second week in January, I reflect on goals made and goals kept, especially in light of a new year and new year's resolutions. So many people I come across in San Diego formulated one or more new year’s resolutions. After all, we live in the greatest city in the world, and San Diego residents of course want to get the most out of life. Here are some interesting statistics regarding new year’s resolutions: Studies have shown that only two-percent of people who make new year’s resolutions, but do not write them down, end up attaining their goals. However, for those people who commit the resolution to pen and paper, a whopping 40% attain the goals they set to.

Whatever the things are that we have in life that we value the most, we have to pay for them in advance. Success has never been an accident, but always derives from concrete deliberate planning, step by step, inching towards our goals. This law of success applies equally in health and wealth.

Diet, exercise, mental attitude and regular chiropractic adjustments are all key ingredients for living a healthy, stress reduced life, and all assist us in achieving success in many levels.  By the way, for those of my patients that didn't hear, the FDA just changed their dietary guidelines, and it struck me that someone in big government finally got the message that less sugar is crucial in a balanced approach to healthy eating. So much of Big Food industry is predicated on selling us food high in simple sugars and empty calories, but it is nice to know that the FDA is finally taking a stand, albeit a mild one.

The human body is designed to function at peak level and performs optimally when it has everything that it needs: good food, optimal physical function (exercise), and a body that listens to what the brain is telling it (proper nerve flow). For those of us San Diego residents that are receiving regular chiropractic adjustments, we know that we are doing what we can to make sure that our spine is stress free, and that as the brain talks to the body, the body both listens, and talks back.  If you are not receiving the amazing benefits of chiropractic adjustments, please call our office and schedule an appointment to get checked. If you mention this blog title: “Getting healthy with new year’s resolutions,” your consultation with Dr. DiSabatino will be complimentary. So please join me in spreading the word in San Diego and everywhere else, so we can all live in a healthier, stress-free world.

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

I love going to see Dr. DiSabatino; it honestly seems miraculous how much better I feel after a treatment. He helps me with my running – my hip flexors get really tight after long runs – and he helps me feel better at work. I notice myself sitting up straighter and have fewer knots in my shoulders and neck even after long hours of sitting at my desk. You should check DiSabatino Chiropractic & Rehab, Inc. You will not be disappointed.
