Start the New School Year with Chiropractic Care
Our Mission Valley, San Diego Chiropractor, Dr. Nicholas DiSabatino Helps Kids' Spines Get Ready for School
Getting your kids ready for another busy school year requires all sorts of preparations, as you well know. But there is one essential preparation that sometimes gets left out: chiropractic evaluation. Here at DiSabatino Chiropractic & Rehab, Inc., our chiropractor wants to help you help your kids enjoy a happier, healthier year -- with a free spinal exam!
Correct spinal alignment is critical throughout life, but you could argue that it is especially important during childhood while the body is developing and lifelong postural habits are being reinforced. Some spinal issues, notably scoliosis, first make their appearance during this period of life. The sooner a case of scoliosis is diagnosed, the sooner treatment can be employed, if necessary, to minimize it. Spinal screenings also help us detect smaller misalignments that might affect your child's comfort, overall wellness, and possibly even neurological and learning development. Chiropractic adjustment can then step in to correct those problems ASAP.
School activities can be rough on a growing body, especially if your kids play contact sports, making pre-season spinal exams a must. But even the simple routine of carrying a backpack can cause serious chronic spinal problems. Make sure your child has a torso-sized backpack (no larger) with padded arms and adjustable straps. Our chiropractor can advise your children on how to pack and wear their backpacks for maximum comfort and safety. If they start to experience neck or back pain, bring them to our office so we can help resolve the issue.
