When receiving an acupuncture treatment from one of our certified acupuncturists, there are little to no risks. We use disposable, sterilized acupuncture needles to alleviate the risk of infection. Depending on the reason you are seeking treatment, you can expect to see an improvement in as little as one to eight sessions.

What to Expect

One of our acupuncture specialists will gently insert very thin needles through the skin along various energy meridians to relieve you of stress, pain, or discomfort. From head to toe, these points are located all over the body. Many report little to no discomfort during the needle insertion. The needles will stay in place for 10 to 30 minutes. A standard consultation lasts between 30 minutes to an hour.

On your first visit, we will request that you complete our patient forms. Our acupuncture specialist will ask questions pertaining to your health history, stress levels, concerns, and any pain or discomfort you have been experiencing. The specialist may also examine the shape and color of your tongue, the color of your face and the strength of your pulse.

How to Prepare

You do not have to prepare for an acupuncture treatment. You are more than welcome to fill out our patient forms in advance.

What Our Patients Say

“I love going to see Dr. Nick for acupuncture, he has changed my life. I had a sinus issue my whole life that Western medicine couldn't even find let alone fix, and Dr. Nick has improved it significantly!”

“I love Arapahoe Chiropractic because they really know what they are doing. Over the years I've had acupuncture sessions there to relieve pain in my feet and joints caused by gout with great results. I highly recommend them.”
