I was born in Connecticut and moved to Florida at age 13. I attended college at The University of South Florida, in Tampa, and received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biological Anthropology. I then went on to receive my Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from The East West School of Oriental Medicine in Sarasota. I am a NASM certified personal trainer and have competed in several NPC affiliated figure competitions. My hobbies are hiking, running, weight training, camping, playing guitar and drums, and spending all my spare time with my family, my husband and my 2 boys.

My career in healthcare began in 1998, when I became a Massage Therapist in Florida, and worked at a Chiropractor’s office for 10 years. I spent countless hours educating myself about the effects natural medicine had on diseases and the human body, and after finding myself so intrigued by what I had learned, I began seeing a Naturopath. I benefited greatly from the knowledge he instilled in me and the effectiveness of his medicine. From that point on, I strived to learn how I could be a part of that medicine that impressed upon me.

After researching a few different careers in natural medicine, I found Acupuncture to be the modality most in line with my goals. I was impressed by the depth of training and the extent o f knowledge supporting this modality, and that was what made me decide to pursue a career as an Acupuncturist.

I love that Acupuncture has so many health benefits, and it is a natural approach to many ailments that otherwise require pharmaceuticals. My aim is to treat the disease, not the symptom, and to be able to educate my patients about their health and the important role that lifestyle plays in it. I strive to live in such a way that I can be an example and an inspiration to my patients. I believe that clean living promotes wellness and help keep disease away. My goal is to reach those who have issues that can be treated without pills and chemicals, and to treat and teach their bodies how to heal themselves through the therapeutic effectiveness of Acupuncture.
