$35,000 Raised for the Boys and Girls’ Club of Wake Forest in the 9th Annual Gobbler’s Run!

Thanksgiving Day 2014 brought with it the 9th annual Gobbler’s Run benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Wake Forest. As in past years, it was a great success! A huge thank you goes out to Dr. Russ Redd and Cat Redd for their diligent organization and execution of the Run year after year. We had fun running and walking through the streets with turkey hats on and thankfulness in our hearts. We want to share the great results of the race with you!

-  The Run raised $35,000 this year! That brings the grand total over 9 years to over $200,000 raised for the Boys and Girls Club of Wake Forest.

-  Spoke Cycles of Wake Forest donated a bike that was auctioned off to one lucky winner.

-  There were nearly 2,000 participants! This year’s race featured professional chip timing using the Jaguar "disposable bib-chip" timing system provided by Precision Race. Results can be viewed here. The fastest time for the 5k was run by 23 year old Chris Capps of Willow Springs at just under 16 minutes!

This event takes a lot of partnership and volunteers to organize and we are grateful for the Redd's leadership. We look forward to the milestone 10th annual Gobbler’s Run! Please plan to join us.
