As we get ready to ring in another new year, many people make resolutions that they have every intention of keeping. Unfortunately, for most, these resolutions are short lived. Here are a few tips to help you keep some of the most common New Year’s resolutions.

“I’m going to eat less junk food”

Instead of focusing on what you’re going to eat less of, focus on what you’re going to eat more of! And eating “less junk food” doesn’t mean you should deprive yourself of food that tastes good. Replace one “junky” snack with a healthy snack each day for a week. After a week, continue to replace other parts of your diet with healthier options. You’ll be surprised by how easy it is to eat healthier.

“I’m going to be more active”

Being more active doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy relaxing. Start by reducing the amount of time you spend in front of the television. Get up and get moving one extra time a week to get started. Set a limit on the amount of time you spend being “lazy” every week. This will help you become more active.

These are just a couple of the most common resolutions people set for the new year. What is your resolution? Talk to your chiropractor about how you can keep your resolution to get and stay healthier. Call one of our convenient locations today for an appointment!
