TCC Hosts Board of Regents Retreat

Board Retreat Fall 2018

November 6, 2018 – PASADENA, Texas

Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) hosted a retreat for its Board of Regents on Oct. 19. At their meeting, the Board honored a departing member, welcomed new members and announced a contract extension for TCC President Dr. Stephen Foster.

“The Board unanimously approved the extension of Dr. Foster's contract to 2021,” said Dr. Monte Blue, Chairman of the Board. “We are very pleased with the direction TCC is going and credit this progress to Dr. Foster's leadership.”

The Board voted on many initiatives, including approving money for classroom improvements to the Standard Process Building.

In his last meeting as a member, the Board presented Dr. Donald McKinley with a plaque to appreciate all he did for the Board and the college.

The Board of Regents welcomed three new members: Drs. Lawson Howard, Robert Lambeth and Ron McMorris. Holly Tharp was announced as the new student ex-officio board member.

Dr. Lawson Howard, a 2006 TCC alumnus, is the owner of Better Days Chiropractic Clinic in Houston. He has been an excellent ambassador of the college, active in referring students, as well as a positive representation of the chiropractic profession in his community.

Dr. Robert Lambeth, a 1991 TCC alumnus, is a Doctor of Chiropractic as well as a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist. He is the owner of Lambeth Family Chiropractic Clinic, P.C. in Houston. He is also an adjunct professor at San Jacinto College and Lone Star College, as well as an Occupational Health and Safety Instructor. Lambeth has more than 20 years of experience in leadership and management and wants to help TCC build enrollment.

Dr. Ron McMorris, a 2007 TCC alumnus, is active in his community as well as the profession of chiropractic. McMorris owns Elite Chiropractic in Walker and Albany, La. He is also currently District 6 Board Representative for the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana, part of the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners Peer Review Committee, Team Chiropractor for Walker High School and Master of Ceremonies for Hugh O’Brien Youth Seminars.

“The Board is excited to welcome its three new members,” said Blue. “These three men are very knowledgeable in the field of chiropractic and have great plans for TCC.”
