Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena

The Basics

Location--We are in Pasadena, Texas, which has a population of 149,000. Our campus is located fifteen minutes southeast of the downtown area of Houston and is about forty miles away from Galveston. We have easy access to I-45 and I-10 and are also within easy driving distance of the Sam Houston Toll Way.

Enrollment at Our School--We have a very diverse campus, with around three hundred students from twenty-three states, one U.S. territory, and four foreign nations. People come from all over to attend our school because we are among the best at what we do.

Our Academic Classification--We are classified in the world of academics as being a non-profit, professional college. We offer both a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Our Academic School Year--We work on a trimester schedule. This means three trimesters a year, instead of two full-length semesters and two shorter summer semesters as in typical universities. With a trimester schedule, we have the Fall term beginning in September, the Spring term beginning in January, and the Summer term beginning in May. Ten trimesters (which usually works out to about three and a half years) are required to graduate with the Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Our Bachelor's degree requires ninety academic hours with a minimum 2.6 GPA.

Facilities--Our school offers the following facilities to help our future chiropractor students achieve their educational and professional goals:

  • Moody Health Center
  • Student Clinic
  • Mae Hilty Memorial Library
  • Learning Resource Center
  • James M. Russell Education Center
  • William M. Harris Administration Building

Financial Aid--Many students need some financial help to reach their educational goals. We offer the following types of financial aid here:

  • Loans - Federal Stafford Loan, PLUS Loan, VA Benefits and Alternative Loans are the most usual loans used by our students. Our financial aid office has a list of other loans for which you may qualify, and we encourage you to contact them for more information on these loan programs.
