Lordosis

Lordosis, also known as swayback, is a spinal disorder that involves an abnormal curvature within the vertebrae of the lower spine, resulting in prominent buttocks and symptoms similar to other spinal conditions. The specific cause of this condition is unknown, but may be related to injury or infection.

Most cases of lordosis do not cause any major symptoms and may not require treatment. However, it is important to have this condition monitored to ensure that it does not worsen with time. Your doctor may perform x-rays, bone scans, MRIs and blood tests in order to diagnose and monitor this condition.

Lordosis occurs when there is an exaggerated curvature in the lumbar region of the spine, which causes the buttocks to protrude.
