Rehabilitation

After any illness, surgery or injury, the body needs time to recover and regain strength, relearn skills or adapt to new ways of doing familiar things.

This process of recovery is known as rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation is different for different people, depending on their individual needs.

A stroke or heart attack patient will need specific care in order to return to normal daily activities. Certain diseases and chronic conditions require a different set of therapies and goals. While surgeries and implants determine a separate set of needs.

Rehabilitation services include:

  • Evaluation
  • Treatment planning and strategies
  • Physical Therapy - to increase muscle strength and mobility
  • Speech and Language Therapy - to facilitate speaking, writing and throat/voice functions
  • Occupational Therapy - help with daily activities
  • Pain Management - to reduce or manage pain and discomfort
  • Counseling - to help patients achieve their goals

The overall goal of rehabilitation is to restore normal functions, using exercise specific therapies, organizational exercises and other techniques designed to stimulate the pathways of the brain and muscles, so you can return to living your life independently.

Depending on the type and severity of the illness, injury, or procedure, the duration and intensity of the treatment will change.

Our primary goal is to achieve the most successful outcomes, restoring the highest degree of functionality.

Individual care and focused treatment can improve every patient’s physical, mental and emotional health. We are here to help.
